The symposium emphasizes the exchange of ideas and cross-fertilization among participants. We are making efforts to encourage the presentations of important progress of both laboratory and industry. Ongoing works that bring up innovative ideas seeking ways to meet important challenges and to solve theoretical difficulties in industrial practices are also well welcomed.

The topics will cover traditionally categorized fields of Ironmaking, Steelmaking, Casting and Rolling. Topics on energy saving, environmental protections, intelligent manufacturing of steel are also welcomed and will be allocated into these four fields, as they would make a more sustainable steel industry.
